Inch by Inch
Inch by inch,
like a ninja at night,
slowly, as you walk,
about a thousand miles
your mind recalls.
At each city,
the City you love,
you learn, void of
everything you keep track,
you look back.
On a quest for your life,
to feel “here”,
somewhere less austere,
somewhere to adhere.
When you endure the Nirvana night,
as you become a proper knight of the streets,
that very second,
you’ll reckon that all those who fleeted,
on their own, they quested for justice,
and melodically you will vociferate,
that you have always been alone,
and that you’ll never be known.
